The demonstration

The car was unveiled at McGregor at 7:55pm Central. Coverage describes an inverted ramp, a kickflip over a Semi, and a live 0–60 mph timing of 0.81 seconds. Reservations reopened the same night.

Zack Pittman, who worked the timing rig, said the banana at the reveal was an analog stopwatch. A laser dropped it the instant the tires started to roll. It was hung for the car's 0–60 time, which he put at 1 second. The banana hit the ground in the same frame the car hit the laser wall.
