# Charging

A 500 kW peak claim, and four charge-time wordings that do not match.

## What it is

The peak figure given by the engineer is up to 500 kW on a V4 Supercharger. The charge port is described as hidden behind the rear wing.

Charge time is quoted four ways: 15–80% in 10 minutes, 15–85% in 10 minutes, under 15 minutes, and 10–80% in 10–12 minutes. The spec sheet states about 10 minutes and records those wordings in one note.

Figures below come from Tesla posts or from engineers speaking to outlets. Where sources disagree, the spec sheet says so.

## Open questions

> Not yet published by Tesla. None of the charge-time lines is a published curve. Tesla has not released the curve itself.
