Tesla unveiled the second-generation Roadster on 15 October 2026 and reopened reservations.

## What was shown

Tesla showed the second-generation Roadster at SpaceX's McGregor site and reopened reservations. Reporting describes an inverted ramp, a kickflip over a Semi, and a live 0–60 mph time. Three trims were named, and a 2028 production target was stated. No price was announced.

Zack Pittman said the banana at the reveal was an analog stopwatch. A laser dropped it when the tires started to roll. It was hung for a 1-second 0–60, and it hit the ground in the same frame the car reached the laser wall.
